Niepoort wieder hohe Bewertungen erhalten. So hat Niepoorts ›
Vertente Tinto 2013‹ aus dem
D.O.C. Douro hohe 90/100 Punkten von Verkoster Mark Squires erhalten. Über die rote
Cuvée, erzeugt aus diversen Rebsorten wie unter anderem
Touriga Nacional,
Touriga Franca,
Tinta Roriz und
Tinta Amarela, schreibt nachfolgend im Original:
„The 2013 Vertente is Niepoort's familiar Douro blend, sourced from a combination of younger (with Niepoort, that means about 25 years) and older vines. Startlingly open and expressive, this shows little sign of a problem in this difficult vintage. Exuberant and tasty, it also evolves into something more serious with aeration in the glass, showing more intensity and focus to go with the fine fruit. This is right able on the young side. Give it a year or two to settle in and then it depens on how you like them. Drink 2015-2013”
