Niepoort wieder hohe Bewertungen erhalten. So hat Niepoorts 2011er ›
Charme Tinto‹ stolze 92/100 Punkten von Verkoster Mark Squires erhalten. Über die
Cuvée aus dem
Douro, u. a. erzeugt aus den Rebsorten
Touriga Franca und
Tinta Roriz schreibt er nachfolgend im Original:
„The 2011 Charme is Niepoort’s familiar old-vines (70+ years) field blend, aged for 17 months in French oak. If you like the style here – it’s normally considered Niepoort’s nod to Burgundy – it is a great
year for it. Relatively fat for Charme and surprisingly fruity, this has velvety texture and a delicious finish. As I’ve sometimes thought in the past, there do seem to be some reductive nuances on the wine that some will like more than others and that, more importantly, can constrain the otherwise fine aromatics. Overall, it is still beautifully structured and simply delicious.”
