In der März-Ausgabe 2016 des renommierten »The Wine Advocate« haben die Weine von Niepoort wieder hohe Bewertungen erhalten. So hat Niepoorts ›Redoma Branco Reserva 2014‹ aus dem D.O.C. Douro satte 93/100 Punkten von Verkoster Mark Squires erhalten. Über die Cuvée, erzeugt aus den Rebsorten Rabigato, Codega, Donzelinho und Arinto, schreibt nachfolgend im Original:

„The 2014 Redoma Reserva Branco is a filed blend aged for ten months in French barriques (only 20 % new). This wwas seen before in Porto, but it's worth another look in the USA as it has had some time to settle in the bottle. With that time in the bottle, this seems to have awakened. Fresh and crisp, tinged with a bit of lemon on opening, this is dramatically different than the others in Niepoort's white lineup this issue. If the ›Tiara‹ emphasizes its tasty, sweet fruit and the ›Coche‹ seems deep, round and somewhat brooding, this emphasizes its tasty, sweet fruit and the brooding, this emphasizes its acidity. The acidity cuts through everything, makes the wine lively, especially for an oaked wine, and creates some tension on the finish. It is not out of control, though.
