Der berühmte US-Journalist James Suckling (früher »Wine Spectator«) hat erneut die Port- und Stillweine von Niepoort aus dem D.O.C. Douro hoch bewertet. Über deren ›Bioma Vinha Velha Vintage 2011‹, den er mit 95/100 Punkten hervorragend bewertet, schreibt er nachfolgend im Original:
„Concentrated fruit here with a super-refinded tannin backbone. Full body, medium sweet, highly loned with stones and minerals. This is beautiful, rich and muscular all at the same time. Only 450 cases produced of this foot-trodden wine from old vines aged three years in oak pipes. Drink in 2020.”
