Robert Parker verkostet und bewertet für seine renommierte Wein-Zeitschrift »The Wine Advocate« regelmäßig Weine aus aller Welt, darunter natürlich auch Weine aus Portugal. Den ›Redoma Rosé 2009‹ von Niepoort aus dem D.O.C. Douro bewertet er mit 89/100 Punkten. Nachfolgend im Original die Degustationsnotiz von Mark Squires:
„The 2009 Redoma Rosé is a blend of 30 % Tinta Amarela, 20 % Touriga Franca and mixture of other grapes for the rest, fermented in French oak, and aged in stainless steel. It had no maloactic fermentation, and Niepoort says that he aims for longer skin contact to provide complexity. He scores big here; even with the pink, there are no compromises. Dry, earthy and quite fascinating for a pink, this is basically a red wine that you can drink cold. I loved the earthy nuances and it finishes beautifully, solid yet refreshing. There were 18,900 bottles produced. Drink now-2012.”
