Quinta do Baixo im
D.O.C. Bairrada, schreibt er nachfolgend im Original:
„The 2016 Lagar de Baixo is a Baga aged for 20 months in old 2.000 liter fuders. It comes in at 12% alcohol. One of the better red values in Niepoort's lineup, this has all you want - structure, reasonable concentration for the grape and region, freshness and a long finish. Rather tight on that finish, this is still approachable, showing beautiful fruit and a livelvy demeanor. I'm not sure this is as good as the 2015, but it is still very fine. Let's see it acquire some complexity in time - it should age well. This was only in bottle about two weeks when seen, so it may yet improve.”
