Die bekannte Zeitschrift »The Wine Advocate« hat in ihrer Ausgabe vom Februar 2007 folgende Verkostungsnotiz zum ›Marquês de Borba Branco 2005‹ von João Portugal Ramos aus D.O.C. Alentejo veröffentlicht, der dort mit 85/100 Punkten bewertet wurde (nachfolgend der Originaltext):
„The 2005 Branco (Marques de Borba) is a blend of Arinto, Rabo de Ovelha and Roupeiro. This seems to have some modest similarity to a basic Southern white Rhone, if you're looking for an analogy to the no doubt unfamiliar grape varietals. It is pleasent, modest in depth and finish, a bit simple and relatively low in acidity, with broad flavors, dry and reasonably tasty. It seems ready now, and should be drunk young. Drink now-2008.”
