Empfohlene Rebsorte im Douro-Tal und Varosa; bringt viel Frucht und Farbe, trotz hohem Ertrag. Sie ist für den Portwein-Verschnitt beliebt und hat auch in Südafrika Liebhaber gefunden, wo sie für Dessertweine und sortenreine Rotweine verwendet wird.
