2016er TIARA BRANCO hohe 92/100 Punkten von Verkoster Mark Squires erhalten. Über die weiße >Cuvée[Glossar][124] aus dem
Douro, erzeugt aus den Rebsorten
Rabigato,
Codega do Larinho,
Donzelinho und anderen, schreibt er nachfolgend im Original:
„The 2016 Tiara is a field blend, mostly Códega do Larinho, Rabigato, Donzelinho, Cercial and others, aged for 12 months in well-used, large Austrian vats. It comes in at 13% alcohol. I can't say this is bad - in fact, it is pretty wonderful - but I do miss the days when this was unoaked and steelier. This does go through malolactic fermentation, whilke the others didn't. This still has some steel; in fact, it is very firm and shows a long finish with notable grip. It is solid in the mid-palate, too. Niepoort said this style has a better balance than before. I would say different and more middle-of-the-road, not better. In this different style, this is still pretty fine.”
