In Ausgabe 227 vom 28. Oktober schreibt Spanien-Spezialist Luis Gutiérrez über den rebsortenreinen Garnacha Blanca aus der D.O.C. Priorato:

„The 2103 Coma Alta is pure Garnacha Blanca planted in 1999 in the Coma valley, one of the five valleys existing in the Mas d'en Gil estate, on clay and limestone soils. The grapes are harvested in two tries, the first one for freshness, and the second one for more ripeness. Thirty percent of the volume fermented in 500-liter French oak barrels and the rest in stainless steel tanks where the wines matured for five months. I think the limestone translates into a serious profile and a sharp palate with an almost salty finish. The oak is very nicely folded into the wine and only adds some nice texture. This is a very elegant and fresh Garnacha Blanca from a very cool vintage that provided wines with good acidity. It feels like a great vintage of Coma Alta. There are 6,158 bottles produced.”
