D.O. Dominio de Valdepusa schreibt der Verkoster im nur zahlenden Abonnenten zugänglichen Magazin:
„The 2013 Syrah had a long élevage of some 20 months in new and semi-new French oak barrels. It showed good varietal typicity with aromas of black olives, smoky bacon, tar and violets. The palate is soft and juicy with some toast flavors in the finish. I liked this Syrah very much in its style. 7,800 bottles produced. Marqués de Griñón produces wines in their single vineyard appellation Dominio de Valdepusa, in the Toledo Mountains where the soils are clay and limestone; they also produce wines from the appellation Vinos de Madrid from their Finca El Rincón estate in Aldea del Fresno, where the soils are of granitic origin. Most of the wines showed much better than what I tasted last time, some 16 months before. 91/100 Punkten.”
