The Wine Advocate« haben die Weine von
Viticultors Mas d' en Gil hohe Bewertungen erhalten. So hat der 2010er ›Bellmunt 2010‹ stolze 90/100 Punkten von Verkoster Luis Guitierrez erhalten. Über die
Cuvée aus dem
D.O.C. Priorato, erzeugt aus den Rebsorten
Lladoner Pelut,
Cabernet Sauvignon und
Cariñena, schreibt er nachfolgend im Original:
„The 2010 Bellmunt is a -village wine-, which blends Garnacha, Carinena and Cabernet Sauvignon from a fresh, elegant vintage showing very good freshness and acidity, pure aromas with hints of complexity mixing red and black fruit notes with spicy touches and soil overtones. The nose is followed by an intense, medium-bodied palate, clean and delineated, with a mineral, earth-driven aftertaste. Drink now-2020. The Rovira family bought the Masia Barril winery in Priorat in 1998 and renamed it with the name of the estate, Mas d-En Gil. Marta Rovira is in charge of winemaking and has been fine- tuning the wines, which have reached a very good level, according to the wines I tasted. They have been moving toward bigger-sized oak containers for the aging of their wines and reducing the amount of new wood as well as moderating the extraction, looking for elegance and balance in their wines in a very successful way. A (not so new) name on the way up.”
