„The 2009 Redoma Rosé is a blend of 30 %
Tinta Amarela, 20 %
Touriga Franca and mixture of other grapes for the rest, fermented in French oak, and aged in stainless steel. It had no maloactic fermentation, and Niepoort says that he aims for longer skin contact to provide complexity. He scores big here; even with the pink, there are no compromises. Dry, earthy and quite fascinating for a pink, this is basically a red wine that you can drink cold. I loved the earthy nuances and it finishes beautifully, solid yet refreshing. There were 18,900 bottles produced. Drink now-2012.”
